You spoke and we listened!

We knew there was a need for a cab-over camper with the iconic EarthCruiser look and feel that would maximize space and comfort without compromising agility or off-road performance.

Our answer is the EC Terranova Expedition Camper (coming early 2021) that was revealed in late September. We can already tell the EC Terranova Expedition Camper is a model that will be near and dear to our hearts — and yours too, judging by the number of pre-sales and inbound interest to learn more.

Did you know that most of the EarthCruiser crew are self-described “avid outdoor enthusiasts”?

In addition to having extensive expertise designing and building world class expedition trucks, EarthCruiser employees walk-the-talk, with many having years of experience in 100% mobile living while others have backgrounds in operating, and/or adventuring, in extreme environments. This gives us a keen and unique perspective of what works best, and is needed most, in the field. We’re pulling in lessons-learned from previous design and manufacturing processes to hyper-focus on systems and components needed to optimize the experience.

It’s this unparalleled hands-on experience that allows our team of engineers, designers, technicians to come together to plan and design the next EarthCruiser vehicle and make developments quickly. We have also gathered feedback from our extensive and highly-experienced customer base as we go about finalizing the design, and look and feel.

We know people are eager for updates and we’re excited to share more details about EC Terranova Expedition Camper design and production developments**.

Design and Planning Updates

Our handmade craftsmanship is part of what makes an EarthCruiser stand out. Built like a racing yacht the EC Terranova Expedition Camper uses the same construction methods, materials, and proprietary techniques that have made the EXP and FX the global standard. One piece fiberglass body construction and durable marine grade interiors are a must with all our vehicles. Electrical will be a combination of Mastervolt and C-Zone for a modern and reliable interface.

Throughout the Terranova you’ll recognize similar components and features used in our other high quality product lines. The whole unit is self-contained and there is not much mounted outside the fiberglass house. This makes it easier to work on the chassis if needed.

The first units we build are pop-top like the EXD and EXP product lines, but the roof and curtain is slightly taller than in the othermodels. We utilized this bit of extra space as functional in-floor storage combined with additional storage spaces based on proven EXP and FX floor plan designs.

Given the trend (that’s sure to continue) of the pull toward remote work (and school) and a more hub-and-spoke model, we are looking at how to integrate features that support these lifestyles. One example is designing the large dinette area to be a versatile “flex space” for eating, sleeping, lounging, or a home office.

Dedicating the overcab to the bed allows us to offer the largest bed size EarthCruiser has ever had in a house! We expect this to be a popular feature.

We’re offering a no-risk pre-order special of $1,000 down (re-fundable) to secure your place in our production schedule to be part of the first fleet release, scheduled for Q2 2021.  Pre-orders will have the opportunity to review full specs, detailed option list and prototype, before committing to purchase.
