Our Journey Continues… Underneath Storage

On the blog today we have RFC Video 21 – Underneath Storage. We cover reasons why we build the locker doors and access hatches the way they are. As explained in the video, the storage on the left of the EC has a locker door that opens up. The reason for this is because there is no awning on the left side. But for the right side which has an awning the EC the locker door opens down, making it into a small shelve. To learn more check out the video below for more details! Our Journey Continues…Sub Frame Phase 2

On the blog today Lance goes over phase 2 of the sub frame. He talks about the little details like having the side skirt on hinges and why that is important to have on an EarthCruiser. He goes into detail on the kinetic mounting system, which allows the chassis and the body move independently. To find out more check out the video below! RFC Video 20 – Sub Frame Phase 2

Our Journey Continues…Small Details

RFC Video 19 – Small Details is short, sweet, and right to the point! Lance goes over a couple small details about the water fill port and storage hinges. There is also a sneak peek of the finished truck, check out the video below to see! RFC Video 19 – Small Details

Our Journey Continues…Putting the Components Together

On the blog today we get one step closer to the demo being finished! Some of the final tasks involve putting all the components together. As Lance would say, “having the truck talk to the cab and the cab talk to the truck”.  In the video below we talk about why we like the cab over truck when working on the engine. As well as going over attaching the actuators and bellows. Watch the video below to find out more! RFC Video 18 – Putting the Components Together

Our Journey Continues… Spare Tire & Tow Bar

Every detail is thought through in RFC Video 17 – Spare Tire & Tow Bar.  In a previous video Lance talks about Toyo Tire for our trucks. He continues to discuss this but in more detail on the tire winch. Next he continues to the tow bar, explaining reasons why we specifically have it made and attached a particular way.  To hear it straight from Lance click on the video below! Our Journey Continues…Rear Lights

Today on the blog Lance goes over rear lights in RFC Video 16. It is very important to EarthCruiser that every detail on the truck has a purpose. There is a reason for putting the lights so high on the truck. Another reason why the lights are flush and not protruding out.            Want to know more? Check out the video below! Our Journey Continues…Cab Phase 2

In RFC Video 15- Cab Phase 2, Lance goes over putting the cab back together since taking it apart to rewire. Though the cab comes with what is necessary, we here at EarthCruiser have a different view on what makes the cab suitable for our clients. For example we prefer to have heated and cooling seats for those long journeys off grid. We also like to add spot lights and air compressors. To find out more about the upgrades on the cab check out the video below! RFC Video 15 – Cab Phase 2

Our Journey Continues… Air Compressor

Today on the blog we check out RFC Video 14 – Air Compressor. Lance explains in the video why it is important to have an air compressor in your EarthCruiser when traveling off grid.  Also why its necessary to change the tire pressure when traveling between snow, sand, and pavement. You can never be too safe when you take the road less traveled. And we always like to take the road less traveled! RFC Video 14 – Air Compressor

Our Journey Continues…House Electronic Components

Today on the blog in RFC Video 13 we go over the house electronic components.  As you might have noticed from RFC Video 12 we are simultaneously working on the house build and putting together the electronic components. In the video Lance goes over why it’s necessary to build the fuse holder ourselves rather than buying a completed piece. He also goes over the necessary overkill of stainless steal screws and why it matters to us. Click on the video below to find our more! RFC Video 13 – House Electronic Components
