EarthCruiser and Oregon Army National Guard Partner For Real-World Disaster Relief Overlanding Training With Local Troops

EarthCruiser Overland Vehicles and their team of expert all-terrain drivers have partnered with the Oregon National Guard (ORARNG) for a specialized training collaboration of tough terrain drills, which troops can encounter when called for disaster relief and emergency response missions. This training program was designed to equip local troops with the practical knowledge of how to problem solve in hands-on trail experiences, and serve as a pilot program for ongoing training. Unit members of Delta Company 1-186 which represents companies in Ashland, Gresham, Portland, Hood River, Cottage Grove, Medford and Grants Pass, among others were joined for a two-day training

Why Overlanding is My Favorite Way to Watch Wildlife

I’m not sure which was my first love: wildlife or overlanding. I was fortunate to have grown up in Alaska, with parents in careers that afforded us a few weeks every summer to explore our beautiful home state. But We’re Really Excited!! What a show! 2018 Overland Expo West did not disappoint this year, with over 365 vendors and double the attendance from 2017. It was non-stop, dusty, hot, and full of cool vehicles and gear that got a lot of attention. Including our MOD prototype! The humble MOD won’t share this, but people couldn’t stop talking about it and wanting to peek inside. MOD makes it to Overland Expo

The MOD prototype is loaded, and on its trek to Overland Expo in Flagstaff, AZ. It’s Friday night and a final turn of the allen wrench secures the dinette seat kit to the MOD proto-type. Mounted on our shop Tundra, it is ready for the 1,100 mile journey to Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, AZ. As the sun was setting we pulled it out of the shop, and parked it next to pro mountain biker Ryan Leech’s beautiful Ram PowerWagon carrying his newly outfitted GZL 400.
