Our Journey Continues….Updated Suspension

Our Journey continues on our blog today with how we updated the suspension on our Fuso Chassis for The Rainforest Challenge. Not every chassis needs to be brand new to build an EarthCruiser. For our demo truck we will be using an older model chassis and replacing the suspension. As a result to changing the suspension you will have more capability to travel in remote locations. Catching Rays

We are always pushing ourselves to be ahead of the curve and produce the best product we can. Recently we paired up with Oregon State students Corbin Moser, Nicholas Evano, and Ryan McMahon to find ways to get the maximum efficiency out of our solar panels. They looked at the effects of cooling the panels as well as angling the panels to account for the position of the sun, and came up with some helpful results. You can read about their project here.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, let’s take a look at the newest addition to the family. The EarthCruiser GZL is a little camper that slides onto the back of your Tacoma or Nissan. Much different from the EarthCruisers you know and love, but at the same time very familiar. The design reflects the comfort and thoughtfulness of the full sized campers, but is considerably more compact. The pop up top offers more space when you reach your destination.
